Jake and Nicole contacted me about having an intimate Elopement at the Sarasota County Courthouse, and when I say that it was special, you guys, holy moly! We headed to the Sarasota Courthouse a little before it opened to spend some time in that glorious morning sun and to do some couple portraits before the building was open. The courthouse itself is absolutely beautiful, built in 1926, and full of historic character. Designed by archetect Dwight James Baum, who is also reponsible for designing the famous Ca’ d’Zan, the building instantly takes you back to the Mediterranean Revival style. It's the perfect backdrop for a romantic elopement in Sarasota.

After we did some portraits all throughout the courtyard, it was time for their ceremony! Short and sweet, with their family as witnesses, it was a perfect moment as they committed themselves to each other. After some family photos after the ceremony, Nicole and Jake wanted to do some celebratory pictures at the beach! It was the perfect place to unwind and celebrate their special day.
