Moving Forward With Wedding Photographers in Longboat Key

My wedding photography packages start at $2,000 which includes up to 8 hours of coverage on your wedding day.

Your package is customizable depending on how many hours of coverage you'd prefer, if you want additional coverage for things like a rehearsal dinner, and if you'd like to include any add-ons, which we can discuss.

Tips for Planning Your Longboat Key Wedding

There are two main wedding venues on Longboat Key:

Zota Beach Resort

The Resort at Longboat Key Club

(two separate resorts, but both are part of the Opal Collection).

These are luxury, seaside venues and have a team of people who will make the planning process as easy as possible for you. They likely have photographers they recommend. But if their style doesn't vibe with you, or if their pricing isn't right, you should be able to "bring your own photographer" (such as me) without any issues.

For something more DIY, there are also companies (like Florida Beach Weddings), that can help you plan a wedding in the sand. However, they utilize their own in-house photographers (which makes me sad).

Another company (Tide the Knot) also offers beach weddings and allows you to use their photographers or bring your own. Their photographers are only available on the beach for a couple of hours max. So if you want additional photos throughout the entire day, you'll want a dedicated photographer.

Other venues are available at some of the local inns and restaurants as well, including

• Mar Vista Restaurant (which has a beautiful, old Florida property paired with modern architecture facing the bay, not the Gulf. But it's two minutes from the beaches on the Gulf side, so you can easily sneak away for some pictures)
• Sandpiper Inn

My Shooting and Editing Style

I'm a natural light photographer who loves working with the sun to create beautiful, authentic photos. I also love to edit photos in a warm, natural, and timeless way. No drastic editing over here!

As far as shooting, I prefer to shoot as many candid photos as possible, since these real moments are the ones you'll cherish the most. But we'll do a few posed photos here and there, and I'll suggest angles based on lighting and backdrop when necessary.

In general, focus on having an amazing day, and I'll capture it as it unfolds.
